The days for (most) long-form are long over. Like it or not.
The content we consume the most — like tweets and TikToks — are short. 280-characters and 15s.
When shopping, two things matter: how the product looks and what it costs. Same on YouTube: what the video is about and how long it is.
We’ve short attention spans. 8 seconds is what some say. Though it’s probably wrong. But what happens to your 8-sec attention span when hour-long episodes of Netflix shows suck you in or when a 9000-word well-told story gets you interested.
A well-told story is an exception.
