When I'm not Creative

Waiting for creativity to arrive is like waiting for a math problem to solve itself.

I have a hard time continuing something. I start a lot of things like my 6 Substacks and end up writing none of them consistently (except this one).

So this is for future me, who will inevitably get bored writing:

“Creative work is emotional labour: showing up when you don’t feel like it.” ~ Seth Godin.

Julian Shapiro’s mental model of Creativity Faucet. Basically, thinking of your creativity like a faucet with bad water lined up, you’ll have to empty the bad water before you get to the good waters.

Ali Abdaal says something similar in his Part-Time YouTuber Academy too:

Your first 100 videos are gonna be crap. Just get them out.
